Dear Friends,
I took a much-needed vacation to the beach...sat with my feet at the water's edge and just relaxed for days. Slept in and watched the sunset every night. It was just what the doctor ordered.
By Tuesday I needed to take a break from the sun so I treated myself to a Pedicure and Manicure. Little did I know what was about to transpire.
As I was getting a pedicure this sweet 92-year-old man sat down beside me. I thought to myself here goes my relaxing afternoon - little did I know I hung on every word, asked him questions and drank in his knowledge and life stories. From his time of enlisting in the Army at 18 years old to serve in WW2 to living next door to someone who was in the Mafia. I was intrigued.
After we said our goodbyes in came an elderly woman who had just lost her dear husband - I witnessed her breaking down in tears and every employee in that shop stopped and walked over to comfort her in her time of need. As I sat there and watched this unfold I was brought to tears myself. The compassion that every employee showed this lady was remarkable.
I definitely left there feeling all the feels with mankind. I believe every person you meet friend or stranger has a story to tell.
With all the bad news out there it was so nice to see with my own eyes there are so many positive actions and humanity out there. If you're willing to slow down and pay attention to your surroundings. It's there, you just have to be open to seeing it.
Leave a comment and tell me your most recent feel-good story. I always love to hear from you!
Love,
Susan
